ABOUT THIS AYMESTREY SCHOOL SITE
My name is Pippa Griffith, and I was 9 when my parents, Hugh and Gill Griffith, moved the family to Aymestrey School.
This site is an attempt to create a history of the school - much of the information is incomplete or may be wrong, so it will keep evolving as I get more material.
The information here has been drawn from the school magazines; from other records I have or have seen; and from both my own memories and those others have contributed.
I am hoping for more information and contributions, and correction of any errors I may have made, from other members of the school community – Old Boys, family members of Old Boys, staff, and anyone else connected with the school in any way.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
If you have memories or anecdotes that you are willing to let me use, or photos or other documents you are happy to have included on this site, please click on this link to get in touch.
The staff list is very incomplete - any assistance with details will be very gratefully received via this link.
DO YOU HAVE ...?
THANKS
There are far too many people for me to name everyone who has helped in making this website get to this stage – you know who you are, and I am very grateful for your help and interest. There are, however, a few who deserve a special mention:
Gill and Ozzie Wales
Jon Essex
John and Carol Coates
John Chandler
Harry Paske (for information about Lucton School history)
