  Aymestrey School, Worcester

Many people have been involved with the Aymestrey School through its history (1909-1998)

Aymestrey School had 4 Headmasters.

Maurice Nightingale ASTERLEY (1909-1935)

Michael Paulet St John MILDMAY (1933-1948)

DAN ASTERLEY (1935-1965)

Hugh GRIFFITH (1966-1998)

In each case it was a partnership with their respective wives, who played very important roles in running the school, and the founder, Maurice Nightingale Asterley, was also assisted by his sister-in-law, Tief's sister (Aunt Ness) once the school moved to Crown East.

Over the years there have also been many different staff members - some stayed for many years, others for shorter periods of time.  More information about the staff will be added to this site in the future.

Around 1,000 boys went through the school in its 89 years.  Again, more information will be added in the future.

Others have had significant informal links with the school and information about them can be found on the Friends of the School page.
